Dirty. So, so dirty.

This is a good packing list for a mud run.

  • Sneakers that you don't mind messing up, although they get surprisingly clean later
  • Cheap athletic socks (these will get thrown out)
  • Running tights that are knee-length or longer
  • Quick-drying underwear/sports bra
  • Weightlifting gloves
  • Elbow and knee pads
  • Sunscreen
  • Bug spray
  • Lots of baby wipes
  • Tons of plastic bags
  • Towel
  • Flip flops
  • Change of clothes that is stretchy or loose - these will be put on over wet skin
  • Deodorant
  • Plastic baggie for your phone
  • Put it all in a nylon or easy-to-wipe-off bag with a zipper
  • Bonus: Identify close location for post-run burger and beer in advance
